The Origin of Reiki

Reiki is a form of energy healing that originated in Japan in the early 20th century. According to the International Center for Reiki Training, the practice is based on the idea that we all have an unseen “life force energy” flowing through our bodies.

The term “Reiki” comes from the Japanese words “Rei,” meaning universal, and “Ki,” which means vital life force energy that flows through all living things.

How Does Reiki Work?

Symbols are used to channel different kinds of energy, directly from Source, to help the body, mind, and soul heal a plethora of issues. There are different symbols for different issues. The Reiki energy helps one’s body gain the capacity and power to heal itself.

The energy is often felt as a warmth on the body or tingling sensation. You may feel unconditional love or the release of repressed emotions.

During healing sessions, I work with Archangels, Ascended Masters, and different spirit guides (yours and mine) to help deliver the healing energy. If necessary, the spiritual guides will also share messages and insights regarding your energy blockages.

When clients come to see me, they lay fully clothed on a Reiki table and I lay my hands on their body as I channel the energy.
